но и к жидкости (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">æǧzælbæl cæwun rajdædta Soslan</hi> „Сослан пошел по кровавому

unsuitable for Ossetic etymology; Ossetic <hi rendition="#rend_italic">I</hi> in <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ǧzalyn</hi> cannot be
identified with Old Indic <hi rendition="#rend_italic">I</hi> [„…es läge nahe anzunehmen, dass <hi rendition="#rend_italic">l</hi> im Ai.

difference between the meanings (to pour (sand)to pour (water)) is
seeming: <ref type="xr"/> æǧzæl blood trace left by an injured animal or a man
shows that <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ǧzalyn</hi>, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_7ǧzælyn"/> were used in the
past not only with granular materials, but also with liquids (%iæǧzælbæl cæwun
rajdædta Soslan<hi rendition="#rend_italic"> „Soslan followed a blood trace“). Cf. also </hi>cæstysyg yzǧæly%i
„the teardrops are falling“ <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Коста._Этн."/><biblScope>44</biblScope></bibl>. <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Tomaschek"/><biblScope>(891)</biblScope></bibl> attributes
