variants go back to the medieval Georgian novel <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">Amiran-Darejaniani</q> by Moses of Khoni
(Mose <name>Khoneli</name>). From the etymological point of view, N. Ya.
<name>Marr</name>s explanation remains in force, according to which <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes"><mentioned xml:lang="ka"><w>Amiran-Dareǯan</w></mentioned></q> is a reanalysis of <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d336e140" xml:id="mentioned_d336e170" xml:lang="fa"><lang/>
