<gloss><q>squill</q></gloss></mentioned>. It is worth noting that one of the varieties
of this root vegetable is called <phr><w>x˳yjy</w>
<w>x˳yskʼæl</w></phr>
<gloss><q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">swine <oRef/></q></gloss>. Such a name could
appear when the speakers ceased to realize that in the word <oRef/>
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_x0y_1"><w>x˳y</w>
<gloss><q>swine</q></gloss></ref> is already there. For the derivation pattern cf. such
Russian botanical terms as <mentioned xml:lang="ru"><w>svinoroj</w>, <w>konskij
ščavelʼ</w>, <w>myšinyj gorošek</w>, <w>zmeinyj gorec</w>, <w>kurinoe
proso</w></mentioned>.</etym>
