<w>gata-</w></mentioned>, past participle of the verb <hi rendition="#rend_italic">gam</hi>- to go, to
reach: <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ævǧæd</hi> ← *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">apa-gata</hi>-, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_ræǧæd"/>
*<hi rendition="#rend_italic">fra-gata</hi>-, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æǧǧæd"/> ← *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">ham-gata</hi>-. By
exact sense, <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æv</hi>-<hi rendition="#rend_italic">ǧæd</hi>(<hi rendition="#rend_italic">apa-gata</hi>) means exit (→ coming-into-being
birth). Cf. <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d3195e171" xml:id="mentioned_d3195e207" xml:lang="ps"><lang/>
<w>zar-ɣāla</w><note type="comment" xml:lang="en"> (from za̧θra-gata: <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Morgenstierne._EVP"/><biblScope>103</biblScope></bibl>)</note></mentioned> puerperal,
