еще ясно значение ‘демон’, ‘злой гений’. По своеобразной „гармонии гласных“

<etym xml:lang="en">From <hi rendition="#rend_italic">fyd-yblyz</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">fud-ibliz</hi> literally “evil demon”. In

In the above mentioned epithet of Nart Sirdon <hi rendition="#rend_italic">Narty fydbylyz</hi> “evil genius of
the Narts” and in the translation of the Gospel (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_Лука"/><biblScope><hi rendition="#rend_italic">11</hi> 4</biblScope></bibl>) there is
also the meaning demon, evil genius. By a kind of “vowel harmony”, there is
either <hi rendition="#rend_italic">fidbiliz</hi>, or <hi rendition="#rend_italic">fudbuluz</hi> in Digor (instead of <hi rendition="#rend_italic">fudbiliz</hi>). See
