<mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d1393e513" xml:id="mentioned_d1393e362" xml:lang="it"><w>Madonna</w></mentioned> и т. п. — Отношение
иронской формы, имеющей наращение <c>mæ-</c>, к дигорской, не имеющей этого

nuance (based on plant totemism?), having <foreign>mutatis mutandis</foreign>
the same role as <w>ma-</w> in<mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d1393e358" xml:id="mentioned_d1393e510" xml:lang="fr"><w>madame</w></mentioned>, <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d1393e362" xml:id="mentioned_d1393e513" xml:lang="it"><w>Madonna</w></mentioned>
etc. — The relationship between the Iron form with initial <c>mæ-</c> and the
Digor form without this augment is the same as in the name of another edible
plant, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_mætatyk"><w xml:lang="os-x-iron">mætatyk</w><w xml:lang="os-x-digor">tatuk</w></ref>. Digor
<oRef>ninæǧ</oRef> is similar to <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d1393e375" xml:id="mentioned_d1393e526" xml:lang="sva"><lang/>
