<note xml:lang="ru" type="comment">.
художественно <hi rendition="#rend_smallcaps">Коста</hi>).
(<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_Коста"/>

<note xml:lang="en" type="comment">. Funerals and commemoration meals, especially if the
deceased had been famous, attracted a large number of people — not only from close, but
also from distant towns and gorges, where the news of death was brought by funerary
messengers (<ref type="xr" target="#entry_qærgænæg"/>). Sometimes <oRef/> was also
performed after the funeral. Especially active participants in <oRef/> were women. There
is a facetious folk tale on this topic (literarily rendered by <hi rendition="#rend_smallcaps">Kosta</hi>). Haymakers stumbled upon a human skull. They
started arguing on whether it was of a man or a woman. An old man advised to cry out the
news of someones death. The haymakers did so, and immediately the skull jumped and rolled
along the road. There was no doubt: the skull had belonged to a woman… (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_Коста"/>
