<w type="rec">wi-raz-</w></mentioned>. В пользу восстановления <mentioned xml:lang="oos"><w>i-zær-</w></mentioned> говорит и ударение. Оно, по законам осетинской акцентуации,
должно было бы падать на второй слог от начала (<oRef>zærýn</oRef>). Ср., например, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cæryn"><w>cærýn</w>
<gloss><q>жить</q></gloss></ref>. В действительности падает на первый —
<oRef>zǽryn</oRef>, потому что он — исторически второй (<oRef>i-zǽ-ryn</oRef>): ср.

<w>i-zær-</w></mentioned>, <mentioned xml:lang="x-oldirn"><lang/>
<w type="rec">wi-zar-</w></mentioned>. Cf. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_ræzyn"><w>ræzyn</w>
<gloss><q>grow</q></gloss></ref> next to <w>ba-j-ræzyn,</w>
<w>a-j-ræzyn</w>, <w>s-y-razyn</w> and Digor <w>i-ræzun</w>, <mentioned xml:lang="x-oldirn"><lang/>
<w type="rec">wi-raz-</w></mentioned>. The accent also speaks in favour of the
reconstruction of <mentioned xml:lang="oos"><w>i-zær-</w></mentioned>. According to the
laws of Ossetic accentuation, it should fall on the second syllable from the beginning
(<oRef>zærýn</oRef>). Cf., for example, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cæryn"><w>cærýn</w>
<gloss><q>live</q></gloss></ref>. In reality it falls on the first syllable
<oRef>zǽryn</oRef>, because it is historically second one (<oRef>i-zǽ-ryn</oRef>): cf.
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_ræzyn"><w>rǽzyn</w></ref> from <w>i-rǽzyn</w>
