суффикс <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-ag</hi> или <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-ad</hi>.
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_fydænæn"/>.</etym>

<etym xml:lang="en">Dative (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">-æn</hi>) form of <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*fyddærag</hi> or <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*fyddærad</hi>, which

can be decomposed into <ref type="xr" target="#entry_fyddær"/> ‘worse’ and

suffix <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-ag</hi> or <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-ad</hi>. Both options are justified: in the first case, we can

see the suffix <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-ag</hi>, meaning ‘predestination for something’, in the second

case there is the abstract suffix <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-ad</hi>. Compare with <ref type="xr" target="#entry_fydænæn"/>.</etym>
