Неясно также, почему <ref type="xr" target="#entry_wafs"/> не

the second part <hi rendition="#rend_smallcaps">Bailey</hi> is ready to see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_wafs"><w>wafs</w>

in Saka). Such extreme servility from a free mountaineer seems, however, implausible. It
is also unclear why <ref type="xr" target="#entry_wafs"/> is not in Dative case (<ref type="xr" target="#entry_wafs"><w>wafsæn</w></ref>), as required by the meaning, but
provided with an incomprehensible ending <c>-i</c> (in the Iron dialect there is no case
