Неимение собаки как

синоним крайней степени нищеты, беспомощности и несостоятельности характеризует

определенный хозяйственный уклад: такое выражение могло возникнуть только на

основе пастушеского быта. Действительно, у горных осетин скотоводов выражение

The lack of a dog as

a synonym for extreme poverty, helplessness and failure characterizes a certain

|||
|
economic structure: such an expression could arise only in a pastoral economy.
