ср. русск. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">намедни</hi> ‘недавно’ из <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ономь дни</hi>, груз, <hi rendition="#rend_italic">imdǧes</hi> ‘на днях’,
|
|||
|
|
буквально „в тот (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">im</hi>) день (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">dǧes</hi>)ʼ. Вероятнее поэтому, что в <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ībon</hi>
|
|||
|
|
имеем сращение с <ref type="xr" target="#entry_bon"/> ‘день’ указательного
|
|||
|
|
местоимения <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ī</hi> ‘тот’, самостоятельно в иронском не сохранившегося, но
|
|||
|
|
имеющего в дигорском закономерный эквивалент <hi rendition="#rend_italic">е</hi> ‘тот’.</etym>

Analogous expression in other languages mean not „on one day“, but „on that

|||
|
|
day“; cf. Russian <hi rendition="#rend_italic">namedni</hi> ‘recently’ from <hi rendition="#rend_italic">onomь dni</hi>, Georgian <hi rendition="#rend_italic">imdǧes</hi>
|
|||
|
|
‘the other day’, literally „on that (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">im</hi>) day (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">dǧes</hi>)ʼ. Thus, it is more
|
|||
|
|
likely that in <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ībon</hi> there is a fusion of <ref type="xr" target="#entry_bon"/> ‘day’ and a demonstrative pronoun <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ī</hi> ‘that’, which has not survived in
|
|||
|
|
Iron independently, but which has a natural Digor equivalent <hi rendition="#rend_italic">e</hi>
|
|||
|
|
‘that’.</etym>
