explain the Ossetic sound form, one should assume the metathesis of vowels <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*kuniga</hi> → <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*kinugæ</hi>, cf. the variation <ref type="xr" target="#entry_mystūlæg"/>
