период, когда в осетинском не было звука <hi rendition="#rend_italic">q</hi>,
ср. в этом отношении <ref type="xr" target="#entry_akkag"/>. O древности
усвоения свидетельствует и наращение <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-g</hi>,
который был еще тогда, как можно думать, продуктивным формантом. Иранским словом
для ‘девушки’, ‘дочери’было <hi rendition="#rend_italic">dyǧd</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">duǧd</hi>, сохранившееся только в <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xodyǧd"/> ‘золовка’.%n<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_ОЯФ_I"/><biblScope>85</biblScope></bibl>.</etym>

period when there was no sound <hi rendition="#rend_italic">q</hi> in Ossetic,
cf. in this respect <ref type="xr" target="#entry_akkag"/>. The antiquity of
acquisition is also evidenced by the augmentation of <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-g</hi>, which was then, as one might think, a
productive formant. The Iranian word for girl, daughter was <hi rendition="#rend_italic">dyǧd</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">duǧd</hi>,
which is preserved only in <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xodyǧd"/>
