грузинской царицы Тамары (XII в.). <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">Вседобрая царица
Тамара послала Цилканского епископа для обращения в христианство пребывающих в
Кавказских горах Осетин. Войдя в ущелье Гуда, которое граничит с Мтиулетией, он
обратил их и выстроил прекрасную церковь во имя Пресвятыя Богородицы…<note xml:lang="ru" type="footnote">Эта церковь звалась у осетин <w>Qūdy
Majræm</w>.</note> После этого епископ был отправлен… в ущелье Трусо, что
выше Хеви; он обратил и тамошних жителей и выстроил такую же церковь во имя св.

revered in the gorge of Truso (<w>Tyrsy</w>), as well as in the aul Tib. The cult of
Tarangeloz goes back to the time of the Georgian queen Tamara (XII century). <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">The good queen Tamara sent a bishop of Tsilkan to
convert the Ossetians in the Caucasian mountains to Christianity. Entering the Guda
gorge, which borders Mtiuletiya, he converted them and built a beautiful church in the
name of the Blessed Virgin Mary...<note xml:lang="en" type="footnote">This
church was called by the Ossetians <w>Qūdy Majræm</w>.</note> After this, the bishop
was sent… to Truso gorge, which is above Khevi; he converted the inhabitants there and
