‘поросенок’, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_kʼæbyla"/> ‘щенок’, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_gyccyl"/> ‘маленький’ и др. (ср. <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_KPF"/><biblScope xml:lang="ru">Abt. III, Bd. II, стр.

words with diminutive meaning: <ref type="xr" target="#entry_qæbūl"/> kid,
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_ʒækʼūl"/> little bag, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_mækʼūlæg"/> lizard, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_qybyl"/>
piglet, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_kʼæbyla"/> puppy, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_gyccyl"/> little etc. (cf. <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_KPF"/><biblScope xml:lang="en">Abt. III, Bd. II, p.
114</biblScope></bibl>). Apart the formant -<hi rendition="#rend_italic">ul</hi> | -<hi rendition="#rend_italic">olæ</hi> presenting
in the word <hi rendition="#rend_italic">bædūl</hi>, there is the stem <hi rendition="#rend_italic">bæd</hi>-, which may be traced back to
an Old Iranian stem <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d346e247" xml:id="mentioned_d346e298" xml:lang="x-oldirn"><lang/>
<w>pat-</w></mentioned> (<mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d346e252" xml:id="mentioned_d346e303" xml:lang="ine"><lang/>
