дает другую этимологию: гот. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">uf-bauljan</hi> ‘надувать’, др.в.нем. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">pūlla</hi>

‘шишка’, ирл. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">bolach</hi> ‘пузырь’ (и.е. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*bheul-</hi>) Этимология неприемлема, так

|
|||
|
|
62</biblScope></bibl>) gives another etymology: Gothic <hi rendition="#rend_italic">uf-bauljan</hi> ‘to
|
|||
|
|
inflate’, Old High German <hi rendition="#rend_italic">pūlla</hi> ‘cone’, Irish <hi rendition="#rend_italic">bolach</hi> ‘bubble’
|
|||
|
|
(Indo-European <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*bheul-</hi>). This etymology is unacceptable because of the
|
|||
|
|
following reasons: 1. there are no reliable Indo-Iranian parallels, 2.
|
|||
|
|
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">ivylyn</hi> is separated from <ref type="xr" target="#entry_ūlæn"/> ‘wave’. See
