716</biblScope></bibl>). У немцев аналогичные поверья связаны с горой
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">Brocken</hi> на Гарце.</note>

Many peoples, including Caucasian ones, have similar superstitions: “On Maundy
Thursday evening, all sorcerers must come to their chief and give him an annual
report on their activities, that is, how much evil did they managed to do to
people… After that, the fun begins” (<bibl><author>G.
Dzhaparidze.</author><biblScope>Folk holidays, traditions and beliefs of
the Rachians. SMK XXI 2 119f.</biblScope></bibl>). Cf. Eastern Slavic
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">Лысая гора</hi>: “On Bald Mountain near Kiev, witches celebrate the Sabbath”
(<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Даль"/><biblScope>%r3%rII
716</biblScope></bibl>). The Germans have similar beliefs associated
with the <hi rendition="#rend_italic">Brocken</hi> mountain at the Harz Mountains.</note>
