<etym xml:lang="en">Probably goes back to <mentioned xml:lang="ine"><w type="rec">sūnaka-</w></mentioned> and is derived from <mentioned xml:lang="ine"><lang/>
<w type="rec">syū-</w>, <w type="rec">sū-</w>

<c>h-</c>. The same root in <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">purely</q> Iranian form is
present in <ref type="xr" target="#entry_x0yjyn"><w xml:lang="os-x-iron">x˳yjyn</w>
