указывающий на материал, из которого сделан предмет (ср. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">qæd-yn</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ǧæd-in</hi>
‘деревянный’, <hi rendition="#rend_italic">avg-yn</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">avg-in</hi> ‘стеклянный’ [см. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_avg"/>] и др.). В этом случае в *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">cʼyl</hi> | *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">cʼil</hi> следует
видеть название какого-то растения, из которого делались веники; ср. <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d5530e173" xml:id="mentioned_d5530e140" xml:lang="ka"><lang/>
<w>čʼili</w></mentioned> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Чубинов"/></bibl>), которое упомянуто нами под словом <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cīl"/> ‘папоротник’. Может быть, имеет сюда отношение и

<etym xml:lang="en">The final -<hi rendition="#rend_italic">yn</hi> | -<hi rendition="#rend_italic">in</hi> is apparently a formant that points
to the materal of which something is made (cf. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">qæd-yn</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ǧæd-in</hi> wooden,
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">avg-yn</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">avg-in</hi> made of glass [see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_avg"/> ] etc.). In this case *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">cʼyl</hi> | *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">cʼil</hi> should be considered as a name of
some plant of which brooms were made; cf. <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d5530e140" xml:id="mentioned_d5530e173" xml:lang="ka"><lang/>
<w>čʼili</w></mentioned> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Чубинов"/></bibl>), which is mentioned under the word <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cīl"/> fern. Maybe the following words also relate here:
