probably a "Megrelism" (cf.<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_ОЯФ_I"/><biblScope xml:lang="en">I 323 ff.</biblScope></bibl>). A Georgian ejective consonant in
<mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4340e260" xml:id="mentioned_d4340e297" xml:lang="ka"><lang/>
<w>čʼeri</w></mentioned>corresponds to a usual <hi rendition="#rend_italic">с</hi> in Ossetic, like in
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_cæxæra"/> beet from <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4340e267" xml:id="mentioned_d4340e304" xml:lang="ka"><lang/>
<w>čʼarxali</w></mentioned> or in <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cænd"/> a
pile of stones from <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4340e275" xml:id="mentioned_d4340e312" xml:lang="xmf"><lang/>
