Что начальный <hi rendition="#rend_italic">s</hi> существовал в прошлом в осетинском, подтверждается косвенно

Despite some phonect “oddities” (initial <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ʒ</hi> from <hi rendition="#rend_italic">s</hi>, appearance of an
ejective <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼ</hi>), the etymology can hardly be disputed. The fact that the
initial <hi rendition="#rend_italic">s</hi> existed in the past in Ossetic is confirmed indirectle by
