(although not attested, see <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4250e115" xml:id="mentioned_d4250e156" xml:lang="xmf"><lang/>
<w>čreli</w></mentioned>, <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4250e120" xml:id="mentioned_d4250e161" xml:lang="lzz"><lang/>
<w>čerel</w></mentioned>) would sound as *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">čaral</hi>, which could, in turn,
produce the <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ʒylar</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ʒælaræ</hi>. See <ref type="xr" target="#entry_dūr"/> for
voicing of the initial consonant; <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cæxæra"/> for
distribution of liquids; <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cæǵynʒ"/> and others for
Mingrelian loanwords in Ossetic. We also have to use <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4250e132" xml:id="mentioned_d4250e173" xml:lang="ka"><lang/>
<w>čreli</w></mentioned> for explaining another Ossetic word: Digor <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cʼærna"/> freckle.</etym>
