<hi rendition="#rend_italic">yz-daxyn</hi> [см. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_yzdaxyn"/>] (← <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*ūz-tāk-</hi>)
‘поворачивать’. Ср. также <ref type="xr" target="#entry_daǧ"/> ‘складка’.
Сопоставление с <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4565e228" xml:id="mentioned_d4565e187" xml:lang="fa"><lang/>

мало дает ввиду многообразия значений персидского глагола (‘кончать’,
‘приготовлять’, ‘передавать’, ‘уплачивать’, ‘украшать’, ‘полировать’, ‘очищать’,
‘заботиться’ и др.).</etym>

stem <hi rendition="#rend_italic">tax-</hi> (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">tāk-</hi>) is related to Ossetic <ref type="xr" target="#entry_daǧ"/> fold, bend, <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4565e161" xml:id="mentioned_d4565e202" xml:lang="pal"><lang/>
<w>tāk</w></mentioned>, <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4565e166" xml:id="mentioned_d4565e207" xml:lang="fa"><lang/>

turnbendfold needs no explanation. The weakening of the stem vowel
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">а</hi><hi rendition="#rend_italic">æ</hi> results in a middle voice meaning <ref type="xr" target="#entry_fældæxyn"/> turn over. There is also <hi rendition="#rend_italic">yz-daxyn</hi> [see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_yzdaxyn"/>] (← <hi rendition="#rend_italic">*ūz-tāk-</hi>) turn (sth.) with
another preverb. Cf. also <ref type="xr" target="#entry_daǧ"/> fold. The
comparison to <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4565e187" xml:id="mentioned_d4565e228" xml:lang="fa"><lang/>
<w>pardāxtan: pardaz-</w></mentioned> (<hi rendition="#rend_smallcaps">Stackelberg</hi> after Horn:
<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Horn._Gr."/><biblScope>66</biblScope></bibl>) does not give much information due
to the variety of meanings of the Persian verb (finish, cook, transmit,
pay, decorate, polish, clean, take care, etc.).</etym>
