с <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xæssyn"/> ‘нести’, имея в виду переносные
значения этого глагола: ‘выкармливать’, ‘содержать’. Семантически последняя
этимология меньше удовлетворяет.</etym>

in <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æxx0ys"/> etc. One could also think about the
relation to <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xæssyn"/> carry, bearing in mind
figurative meanings of this verb: bring up, support. From the semantic point
of view, the latter etymology is less satisfactory.</etym>
