in this regard that, according to the legend, the forefathers of the Anglo-Saxon kings
in Britain were brothers <foreign>Hengist</foreign> and <foreign>Horsa</foreign> (5th
century A.D.). The names of brothers represent a synonymous pair (<w>hengist</w>
