тогда как в ингушском перебой <hi rendition="#rend_italic">n</hi> || <hi rendition="#rend_italic">l</hi> отмечается и в других случаях (ос.

||
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_xīn"/> — инг. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">xilæ</hi>). Поэтому правильнее

||
считать осетинские формы заимствованными из адыгейского, а др.инд. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kīla-</hi>

Ossetic. However, the change <hi rendition="#rend_italic">l</hi> || <hi rendition="#rend_italic">n</hi> is difficult to justify in this case
|
||
for Ossetic, while in Ingush the changee <hi rendition="#rend_italic">n</hi> || <hi rendition="#rend_italic">l</hi> is attested in other
|
||
cases as well (Ossetic <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xīn"/> — Ingush <hi rendition="#rend_italic">xilæ</hi>).
|
||
Therefore it is more correct to consider Ossetic forms to be borrowed from
|
||
Adyghe, and to leave Old Indic <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kīla-</hi> aside.</etym>
