case form has remained. Etymologically <hi rendition="#rend_italic">cyppūrs</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">cæppors</hi> traces back to

in the first case there remains the final <hi rendition="#rend_italic">s</hi> and <hi rendition="#rend_italic">а</hi> did not weaken to

<hi rendition="#rend_italic">u</hi>. The following Balkar numeral of shepherd count relates to the Ossetic
