ˈстягивать сильноˈ, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_rætʼūzyn"/> ˈпротыкатьˈ и др.;
наконец, тот же глагол <ref type="xr" target="#entry_tæryn_1"><w>tæryn</w></ref>
с другим превербом <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æf</hi>- : <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æftʼæryn"/> ˈжратьˈ. Перебой <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æ</hi> || <hi rendition="#rend_italic">i</hi> в дигорском отмечен в ряде

<gloss><q>to drive</q></gloss></ref> being in use independently. The
appearance of the ejective consonant <hi rendition="#rend_italic">tʼ</hi>
instead of <hi rendition="#rend_italic">t</hi> can be explained by the idea of a
physical effort connected with this word; compare <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æmpʼūxyn"/> to tighten strongly, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_rætʼūzyn"/> to pierce etc.; finally, the same verb <ref type="xr" target="#entry_tæryn_1"><w>tæryn</w></ref> with another preverb
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">æf</hi>- : <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æftʼæryn"/> to devour. The alternation <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æ</hi> || <hi rendition="#rend_italic">i</hi> in
Digor is found in a number of cases (usually, before <hi rendition="#rend_italic">r</hi>): <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æftʼæryn"/>
