суффиксом не является осетинским новообразованием; она характерна и для других
языков северно-иранской группы: скифского, согдийского; ср. <hi rendition="#rend_bold">скифское</hi>!!!

<etym xml:lang="en">Ordinal numeral derived from <ref type="xr" target="#entry_avd"/> seven' with the suffix -<hi rendition="#rend_italic">æm</hi> (← <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ama</hi>) or -<hi rendition="#rend_italic">æjmag</hi> (← <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ama</hi> + <hi rendition="#rend_italic">ka</hi>

the doubble suffix is not an Ossetic neologism; it is common for other languages
