‘чеснок’), усвоено из грузинского: kitri ‘огурец’ (с диссимилятивным
озвончением начального согласного); ср. также kʼintʼəri, a-kintər

<etym xml:lang="en">Like the names of several other garden plants (see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_cæxæra"/> beetroot, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_būlkʼ"/> radish, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_nūry"/>
garlic), it was acquired from Georgian: kitri cucumber (with a
dissimilative voicing of the initial consonant); compare also kʼintʼəri,
