that <oRef/> belongs to the group of plant names that have the augment <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4556e178" xml:id="mentioned_d4556e232" xml:lang="os"><c>mæ-</c></mentioned> in the beginning (see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_mænærǧ"><w>mænærǧ</w>
<gloss><q>raspberry</q></gloss></ref>). In this case it is the element <mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d4556e187" xml:id="mentioned_d4556e241" xml:lang="os"><w type="rec">ǧæld-</w></mentioned> that needs to be etymologized. This
could historically be nothing else than a variation on <ref type="xr" target="#entry_zældæ"><w>zæld-</w>
