например <ref type="xr" target="#entry_sinonxast" xml:lang="os-x-digor"><lang/>
<w>sinonxast</w>
<q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">разносящий кубки</q></ref> (вместо <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xæssyn"><w>-xæssæg</w></ref>), <ref type="xr" target="#entry_nyfs"><w>nyfsxast</w>

мужество</q>)</ref> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_ОЯФ_I"/>
<biblScope>571</biblScope></bibl>). Возможно, что <w>rǧævd</w> в <oRef>zærdærǧævd</oRef>
надо относить к подобным случаям. Первоначальное значение глагола <ref type="xr" target="#entry_7rǧævyn"><w>rǧæv-</w>
<note type="comment">(<mentioned xml:lang="ira"><w type="rec">grab-</w></mentioned>)</note></ref> было <q>схватывать</q>, ср. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_arǧævnæ" xml:lang="os-x-digor"><lang/>

<gloss><q>клещи</q></gloss></ref> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_ИЭС_II"/>
<biblScope>407408</biblScope></bibl>). С учетом сказанного выше <oRef>zærdærǧævd</oRef>
можно понимать как <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">схватывающий сердцем</q>.</etym>
<etym xml:lang="en">A compound word of bahuvrihi type with the inversion (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_ГО"/>
<biblScope>§ 204</biblScope></bibl>) with the past participle of <ref type="xr" target="#entry_7rǧævyn"><w>rǧævyn</w></ref> in the second part (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_ГО"/>
<biblScope>§ 201<hi rendition="#rend_subscript">II 4</hi></biblScope></bibl>); cf. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_zærdætaǧd"/>, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_zærdæxūdt"/>.
Participles ending in <m>-t</m>, <m>-d</m>, usually passive, sometimes are used as active,
for example, <ref type="xr" target="#entry_sinonxast" xml:lang="os-x-digor"><lang/>
<w>sinonxast</w>
<q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">carrying goblets</q></ref> (instead of <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xæssyn"><w>-xæssæg</w></ref>), <ref type="xr" target="#entry_nyfs"><w>nyfsxast</w>

courage</q>)</ref> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_ОЯФ_I"/>
<biblScope>571</biblScope></bibl>). It is possible that <w>rǧævd</w> in
<oRef>zærdærǧævd</oRef> should be associated with such cases. The initial meaning of the
verb <ref type="xr" target="#entry_7rǧævyn"><w>rǧæv-</w>
<note type="comment">(<mentioned xml:lang="ira"><w type="rec">grab-</w></mentioned>)</note></ref> was <q>grasp</q>, cf. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_arǧævnæ" xml:lang="os-x-digor"><lang/>

<gloss><q>tongs</q></gloss></ref> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_ИЭС_II"/>
<biblScope>407408</biblScope></bibl>). Taking into account the above,
<oRef>zærdærǧævd</oRef> can be understood as <q rendition="#rend_doublequotes">grasping
