(<oRef>raǧæn</oRef>) в старом осетинском доме — это несколько рогов, всаженных в столб
или в стену; особенно ценились для этой цели рога серны (см. выше цитату: <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_Брит."/>
<biblScope>52</biblScope></bibl>). Вероятна поэтому связь с <mentioned xml:id="mentioned_d2926e300"><mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d2926e373" xml:id="mentioned_d2926e301" xml:lang="cu"><lang/>

<etym xml:lang="en">While investigating the etymology of this word one should not forget
about the realia behind it. A hanger (<oRef>raǧæn</oRef>) in an old Ossetic house is a few
horns planted in a post or a wall; chamois horns were especially valued for this purpose
(see a quote above: <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#src_Брит."/>
<biblScope>52</biblScope></bibl>). Therefore, a relation with the following words is
likely: <mentioned xml:id="mentioned_d2926e372"><mentioned corresp="#mentioned_d2926e301" xml:id="mentioned_d2926e373" xml:lang="cu"><lang/>
