composite in Persian; second, the vowel <hi rendition="#rend_italic">i</hi> in Ossetic contradicts to such

etymology. It is more correct to relate <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼimbus</hi> to a group of onomatopoeic
|
||
words, like <ref type="xr" target="#entry_qappæl"/> etc., considered under <ref type="xr" target="#entry_tymbyl"/> ‘round’.</etym>
