This is explained by the fact that the vowel <hi rendition="#rend_italic">у</hi> | <hi rendition="#rend_italic">u</hi> is a new version of

<hi rendition="#rend_italic">æ</hi> (see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_dymyn"/>) and thus there was no place
